When you are out on your first date with a new guy, it’s easy to make small mistakes that may obliterate the possibility of going out on date number two. It may sound silly, but you need to know the appropriate way to flirt on a first date. It is important because if you come on too strong, you may make your date think you are overly aggressive and the last thing you want is for your new guy to feel intimidated or up staged by you. Look to the tips below on ways to flirt tactfully, while still managing to keep your date interested.
• Guys like to know that they look good too, so when he shows up looking like a white knight, let him know you appreciate his duds.
• Smile, and don’t be afraid to let go a little. It will show him that you’re not a prude.
• Laugh at his jokes; not exceedingly, but just enough to show him you’re actually listening.
• Lean in when he’s talking to you. It’s a sign that he has your full attention, and makes him feel important.
• Making direct eye contact can help to foster intimacy in a date setting, so be sure not to avert your eyes when his baby blues are boring into you. Give him a wink and a small smile. It says “I see you looking at me and I like it”.
It is incredibly important that you do not come on too strong. The most important aspect of flirting is subtlety. You do not need to overdo the sexy to remain a desirable creature in his eyes. Just go on in there, sit down, smile, and be yourself. Any guy would be lucky to have the real you. All of the smart ones already know that.

When you are on a date with someone new, you want to be sure to give the best honest impression of yourself that you can. One of the hardest parts of getting to know someone while on a date is figuring out what to say. Small talk can be nice and it’s usually the first thing we try, but it’s a little superficial and will keep you from getting to know each other on a deeper level. On the same note, you don’t want to lay out your whole life all at once, so choosing your middle ground may not seem easy. Don’t worry though. Here are a few tips for getting that first date conversation rolling:
• Be sure to ask about your date’s interests. Find out how they like to spend their time, but don’t just shoot out questions rapid-fire.
• Maintain a light hearted atmosphere by keeping your conversation limited to positive things.
• Compliment your date, but do it sincerely. Choose something about them that you genuinely appreciate and then tell them why you like that aspect of their personality or even their outfit.
• Don’t discuss your financial status on a first date.
• Ex-boy friends/ girl friends are off limits for first date conversation. If your date asks about your previous relationship, answer lightly, and then change the subject in a controlled, subtle way.
• If you are running out of things to discuss, fill that awkward pause with some talk about your favorite movies, books or television shows.
It may seem a little intimidating t be going out with someone new. It can be difficult, but knowing how to say the right thing will make you more comfortable and help your date to open up more as well. When you open your mouth to say hello, do it confidently and with a smile. You are ready for your date. If all goes well, date number two is just around the corner! Bon appétit, mes Amies!
