What Are the Odds of Finding Love Online? Finding Love is Possible!
By Jesse F. Smith
Many people used to be skeptical about finding love online. The truth is, however, that finding love is very possible. The more people you are exposed to, the better chance you have of meeting someone special. Countless people claimed to have found their soul mate online. These people started off as strangers and later decided to get married. People are finding love online because they are not meeting someone special at home. This may because they are too busy or because they just do no click with anyone who they currently know. Finding love online can be fun because you can search through hundreds of online profiles to find someone you would like to date. Online dating also saves time. You are exposed to many people in a lot less time than you ever could out in the real world.
Why people are finding love online
(1) People often appear better online. This is because you do not have to worry about being as nervous or getting tongue-tied like you would if you were talking in front of an actual person. Online dating can be especially rewarding for introverts because they have time to think about what they will say (or shall I say type?) next.
(2) Online dating means you have the chance to learn about someone before you contact them. If you are interested in someone, you can look at his or her picture and read the profile. A profile tells you a lot about someone, such their age, marital status, location and physical attributes. If you do not sense that the two of you will have a connection, you simply keep move on and keep searching.
(3) With online dating, you are not limited to dating people in your social circle or work environment. There are thousands of people online taking a chance at finding love just like you!

Ways to Find Dates: Try Speed Dating

Speed Dating: What’s it all about?

Speed dating is an organized event where several people come together all at once and have a sort of a “power mingle”. The process allows people to meet more than one potential match at once, therefore increasing the chances of finding that special someone a little bit sooner. You will not like everyone you meet, but listen to what they say, and some may catch your attention.
Here’s how the process works:
Usually, all participants would gather together in a room that has tables and chairs or somewhere else that’s comfortable enough for you to “date” each other. The “dates” usually last anywhere from three to nine minutes, and then a signal will be given for participants to mark down whether or not they’d like to see the person again, and then it is time to move on to the next “date”. Typically, within a few days, the speed date coordinator will call you with information on who wanted to see you again, and they can provide a method for communication if you both so choose.
There are some things to keep in mind when speed dating:
Time is limited! Ask the questions that are most important to you first.
Do not give away personal information! You do not know these people yet!
Have fun! Even if you do not find your soul mate, speed dating could still be a really fun adventure.
If you already know what you want to ask, write the questions down before you go. Thus will be especially helpful if you lose your tongue at a hottie’s greeting.
Speed dating is a lot of fun, and is an exciting and conventional way to meet new people. For speed dating events near you, just Google speed dating, add your area code, and press search. You should be able to find some events that are reasonably close to where you live. If you don’t find anything close enough, give online speed dating a try!

Internet Dating Advice You Don’t Hear Every Day
By Jennifer Langston
Online dating is quickly becoming more mainstream as more people get comfortable with the internet. Online dating is nothing new, however. Before the days of full-featured dating sites, people were meeting in chat rooms and forums and starting up romantic relationships much like they do now, just in a more long-winded fashion. While internet dating is getting more socially acceptable, there are still quite a few tidbits of internet dating advice that no online dater should forget:
- Always remember that no matter how much information a dating site may provide, the people on there are strangers. They may have a full picture gallery or every bit of information conceivable about them on display, but they might as well be anonymous to you. Go into all potential online relationships with an open mind, but not a readily open heart. They may seem like your soul mate on a page, but it could possibly be the exact opposite when you’re interacting with them.
- Start off your correspondence solely with chats about interests. Often more times than not, interests can be a deal maker or breaker, but there’s more to it than that. A person’s interests can reveal a lot about them, and finding out what you both like and dislike can make both of you feel more comfortable interacting with each other. Besides, with internet dating it’s a lot better to start in the kiddie pool than the deep end, so to speak.
- There is one thing more than anything else you need to keep in mind when regularly chatting with and getting to know someone online: A little time feels like a lot of time online. This is the best piece of internet dating advice anyone can possibly give you. Many people, even so-called “experts” on internet dating seem to forget this, but it’s true: A week feels like a month in “internet time”. It’s entirely too easy to get in the deep end when dating online, because you’re exchanging information at a rate that is simply not possible in the real world. You’re sharing ideas, pictures, interests, history, and just random tidbits at an alarming speed and you don’t even realize it. It’s difficult to look back and think “I’ve only known this person for a week.” when you’ve spent five to eight hours a day or night talking to them for the past seven days. This is why online relationships are usually a burst of passion and then die out within a relatively short period of time: You both just know too much and there is nothing new to talk about.
There are no set rules to online dating, but these are some definitely great tidbits of internet dating advice, straight from a long-time expert.

Dating Advice: Where can I meet single men?
Dear The First and Forever Love,
Where do you meet eligible single men? My friends tell me that there are certain places that are best to meet eligible men. Is there a secret? Where are they hiding? I’m willing to expand my search options and need a little help and insight. Where do you think I should go to find eligible men?
Thanks,
Nowhere to go
He said:
There lots of places to meet single men. Happy hour, bowling alleys, clubs, single resorts, online chat rooms, The mall, sporting events, ect…….. Just make sure you do your homework on the guys you meet in these places. There are good guys and bad guys. But to be honest, single guys are everywhere and anywhere where they might find women.
She said: I agree with everything he said. Men go where the women go. If we are there, they are there looking for us. Unless the guys have plans to just hang with the fellas, most places they go are because of us. You just have to weed out the good from the bad. That’s the tricky part! And always be open. You never know where you will meet your soul mate. It can happen in the most unlikely places and under the oddest circumstances. There’s no one size fits all approach to finding eligible men. As usual, know what you are looking for and what you want and look for that.
