Being a young professional on the hunt for a relationship or love in tough. We’ve said it time and time again. And a huge contributing factor is not knowing where to meet people.

Young Professional events: Not only are they GREAT networking opportunities, but you can also make some great friends and find some eligible folks that likely have what you are interested in. A great resource to get plugged into your local networking scene is the Urban League in your city.

Speed dating: Grab some friends and go to a local speed dating function. Worst case scenario, you will come back with some funny stories. It’s a great way to meet a lot of different people fast and you are not obligated. If you and a speed dater both want to connect further, you both let the facilitators know and they will make the info exchange. Simple and painless

Online dating: We all used to run away from online dating, but with our busy schedules, online dating is becoming a popular and sometimes successful option. Set up an online profile (with accurate information and an up to date picture of course!) and give it a try.

Proceed with caution: While you may meet your life partner at a bar, club or work it’s rare. Usually, we go to the club or the bar to have fun and hang out with our friends, not meet a life partner or somebody you would seriously date. Try to avoid this because it most often ends up in drama, especially in the workplace. That’s the LAST thing you want.
